p.54: The Färnigen Zone represents a narrow (in general 50–150m, at Chli Griessenhorn up to 500m) band of 19 km length of Mesozoic sedimentary rocks wedged along a prominent Alpine fault zone into the polycyclic metamorphic basement separating the Erstfeld Zone in the northwest from the Sustenhorn Zone in the southeast. The Färnigen Zone can be followed from the Chalchtallücke in the southwest to the Intschialp in the northeast and mainly comprises strongly deformed Middle to Late Jurassic sedimentary rocks (ALB.HEIM & ARN.HEIM 1916, LABHART et al. 2015 b and references therein).
