    The Nantbellet Mélange, situated in the Sulens Klippe, east of the Lac d’Annecy, is considered to be part of the Pillon Mélange Zone. It lies above the Chaines Subalpines Nappe and below a series related to the Préalpes Médianes Nappe. Its upper part consists of “wildflysch” that contains lenses of Subbriançonnais and Ultrahelvetic origin. Its lower part consists mainly of one large Anzeinde-type sliver containing a transgressive Cenozoic flysch.
