- The Blattengrat unit has a WSW-ENE structural grain, is bounded by thrusts, and forms part of the Infrahelvetic nappe pile, separated from the Helvetic nappes by the Glarus Overthrust ....whilst it is underlain by the parautochthonous North Helvetic Flysch (NHF) unit....
