Description

Description

Slumps, Konglomerate und normal gradierte Feinbrekzien und Karbonatsande (Turbidite) sind relativ häufig. Brekzien treten vorwiegend beim Kontakt mit dem Landwasser-Member auf.

Thickness

Typische Mittelwerte um 120 m. Ca. 180 m an der Typlokalität ; reduziert auf 50 m im östlichen Ducangebiet, 35 m in der Landwasser-Kette, und nur einige Metern im nordöstlichen Engadiner Dolomit (Alp Sesvenna) (Furrer et al. 1985).

Dating Method

Biostratigraphie: Kalkalgen des Ladiniens (Diplopora annulata) und Foraminiferen (Furrer et al. 1985). Präzisiert durch radiometrische Datierung (U:Pb = 240.91Ma ; Furrer et al., 2008).

Geography

Geographical extent

Ducan-Landwassergebiet (Silvretta-Decke), Val d’Uina, S-charl (S-charl-Decke), Engadin, Schlinig, Jaggl (Quattervals-Decke, Terza-Decke). Fehlt in den Unterengadiner Dolomiten. Im Landwassertal als dunkle dünnplattige Dolomitschiefer ausgebildet. Gegen Westen zunehmende dolomitische Zwischenlagerung von dickbankigere, feinkörnige Landwasser-Dolomite (Vallatscha-Fm.), so dass eine Unterscheidung SW von Surava nicht mehr möglich ist.
