Sainte-Croix (Groupe de ...) (Jura u. Kreide: Purbeckien & Valanginien s.l.) J. Marcou (1859): Sur le Néocomien dans le Jura et son rôle dans la série stratigraphique. Arch. sc. physic. nat., nouv. per. 4: 144 f. Marcou unterteilt seine «groupe de Sainte-Croix» von unten nach oben in die «marnes de Villars-le-Lac», die «roches d'Auberson» und den «Limonite de Metabief». Die «marnes de Villars-le-Lac» entsprechen der Schichtserie, die heute ins Purbeckien gestellt wird. Die «roches d'Auberson» sind identisch mit unserem heutigen Unteren Valanginien (= Berriasien auct.). Der «Limonite de Metabief» ist dem Oberen Valanginien (= Valanginien s.s. auct.) gleichzusetzen. Typlokalität: Sainte-Croix und Umgebung (Waadtländer Jura). Der Begriff wird heute nicht mehr gebraucht.
